The bridge may fall beneath my feet, but I shall never run. And if each shot should catch my head, I shall never die. I hear the screams when I am deaf. I feel the wounds when I am numb. Nothing surpasses the reality, the catharsis in my soul. The Covenant can read me, The Flood can breathe me out, But I fight for Her alone, and I shall never run.
The bombs may blow by my brain, but I shall never tire. And if the darkness swallows me whole and spits me out, I shall never cry. I taste the blood without my tongue. I smell the stench without my nose. I can't escape the wars, the detonation of my head. Each movement may desert me. My pulse may leave me behind. But I fight for Her alone, and I shall never tire.
